Hiya, I’m Lauren, the face behind Artistry by Lauren.

I specialise in bridal and special event makeup, based in Dudley and serving Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, the West Midlands, and beyond for those special occasions.

When I’m not behind the brush, you’ll most likely find me hopping on a plane and exploring somewhere new. I absolutely love travelling and nothing beats the feeling of ticking off a place I’ve never been before. Experiencing new cultures, soaking up fresh inspiration, and making memories along the way brings me so much joy.

When I’m home, I’m all about keeping fit and challenging myself. If I’m not working, chances are I’m in the gym or training for my next goal. I ran my first half marathon in 2025 and I’m still so proud of that one, with my sights now firmly set on completing a full marathon next.

I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie at heart and love pushing myself outside my comfort zone. I’ve even jumped out of a plane, crazy right? Whether it’s travel, fitness, or my work, I’m always chasing growth, excitement, and new challenges.

Fun facts about me

I’ve visited over 10+ countries, Switzerland being one of my favourites! Highly recommend if you love cheese as much as me!

My favourite drink is a hugo spirtz. Elderflower and prosecco? Say no more.

I’ve jumped out of a plane and ran the Manchester half marathon. This is why i’m so good at standing on my feet all day!

The Holiday is my favourite film, giving all the romantic vibes.

My Passion

For six years, I was stuck in a dead end job, wondering if there was more to life than the 9 to 5 grind. I’d studied photography in college, gave it a shot, but it just didn’t light that creative spark in me.

Makeup has always been a passion of mine, but I never considered it as a career… until a few years ago. I trained at the Central School of Makeup, and it quickly became clear that this was the best career move I’ve ever made. You know how some people talk about their jobs like it’s a chore? That’s never how I feel. For me, it’s pure joy, doing something I genuinely love every single day.

Being part of people’s big days and special events is an incredible feeling. Seeing someone’s reaction when I’ve done their makeup is priceless. I now know this is the job I was meant to do: helping people feel beautiful and confident.

What matters most

My signature style.. “soft glam, with a little extra.” Not super natural, not over the top, just you, elevated. Connection is key for me. If you don’t leave my chair feeling like you’ve made a friend, I haven’t done my job right. On your wedding morning, I bring calm to the chaos, but I’ll also be part of the fun, like your best mate helping you get ready.

At the end of the day, it’s more than makeup, it’s confidence, joy, and those unforgettable moments you’ll remember forever.
